On Apple Watch, to personalize your experience, you can update your date of birth, sex, height, weight, and wheelchair status in Health Details. It matters. Your Apple Watch uses the information you provide about your height, weight, sex, age, and wheelchair status to calculate how many calories you burn, how far you travel, and other health and fitness data. You can make the changes in the Apple Watch app on your iPhone, in Health Details.

  1. Start the Apple Watch app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap My Watch and tap Apps. Tap Health.
  3. Tap Health Details and tap Edit.
  4. To make a change, tap a field.
