If you’re looking to download the full installer for MacOS Sonoma 14, you’ll be pleased to know that you can download the complete installer directly from Apple servers.

Apple’s macOS Sonoma update was released to the public on September 26, 2023.

With the release of macOS Sequoia in September 2024, macOS Sonoma is no longer the most recent major version of Apple’s Mac operating system. Apple may continue to release minor security updates to macOS Sonoma for users who don’t wish to immediately upgrade or whose machines are not compatible with Sequoia.

The MacOS Sonoma 14 installer arrives from Apple contained within a file named "InstallAssistant.pkg", that, when run, will extract the full "Install MacOS Sonoma.app" installer application into the users /Application folder.

These direct download links offer an alternative approach to get the MacOS Sonoma installer, which can be used for upgrading other Macs, creating a USB installer drive, performing clean installs, installing into a virtual machine, troubleshooting, and much more.
