Your iPad can generate a password to use on a website or app. In the Passwords app, you just add the details for the website or app and a user name, and a strong password is suggested for you, though you can enter one of your own.

  1. Go to the Passwords app on your iPad.
  2. Tap All and then tap the New Password button at the bottom of the list of accounts.
  3. Enter details about the website or app, and a user name for your account.
  4. Tap password.
  5. Tap the suggested password (or enter one).
  6. Tap the Save button.

When you sign up for services on websites and in apps, you can create a password then, too. Read our article, Create a strong password for a new account.
