  1. Open the Safari app on your iPhone.
  2. Go to https://support.apple.com/guide/iphone.
  3. Use the search box at the top or click Table of Contents at the top to get started.
  4. To view the user guide in a different language, scroll down to the bottom of the page, tap the country or region link United States, for example), then choose a country or region.
  5. For quick access, tap the Share button, then choose any of the following:
    • Add to Home Screen: The shortcut appears as a new icon on the Home Screen.

Starting with iOS 17, Apple now offers a continually updated iPhone user guide in the Tips app.

  1. Open the Tips app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap the Tips Collections back button until you see the Tips collections,
  3. scroll down to User Guides, then tap iPhone to access the user guide.

How to download a copy of Apple’s iPhone User Guide

The one way that Apple gives you to download the iPhone user guide is through Apple Books. Here’s how:

  1. Open the Books app on your iPhone.
  2. Search for iPhone User Guide within the Books App. Here you will find all of the downloadable iPhone Guides that have been made available by Apple.
