It is possible that you may have used Emergency SOS accidentally. If an emergency call has been made and you don’t need emergency services, don’t hang up. How to exit the Emergency SOS mode on iPhone 18 Pro
When your iPhone 18 Pro is stuck in Emergency SOS mode, you won’t be able to use your device unless you get your device out of this. The fix is simple. You will need to force-restart your iPhone. Here is how:
Do the following in quick succession in the order given below.
- Press and quickly release the volume up button.
- Press and quickly release the volume down button.
- Press and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo (this might take longer than 10 seconds).
After following the steps above, your iPhone 18 Pro will restart. After your device powers on, your phone should be working and the emergency SOS screen should be gone.
How to change your Emergency SOS contacts
After you place an emergency call, your emergency contacts will be contacted with a text message. They will also get updates regarding your location so that they can find you. When you use Emergency SOS on your iPhone, you can stop these updates by tapping the status bar on your iPhone and selecting Stop Sharing Emergency Location. You can add or remove your emergency contacts on your iPhone 18 Pro. Here is how:
- Open the Health app and tap the Summary tab.
- Tap your profile picture in the upper corner.
- Under your profile picture, tap Medical ID.
- Tap Edit next to Emergency Contacts.
- Tap the Plus button next to “Add Emergency Contact.” Tap a contact, then add their relationship.
- To remove an emergency contact, tap the Delete button next to the contact, then tap Delete.
- Tap Done.
The Medical ID can also be deleted by tapping the Delete Medical ID button if you prefer.
