On iPhone, you can share places with others. For example, you can send a message or email to show people where to meet you. A place on the map or a search result can be shared from the top of its place card, and you can even send your current location without opening Maps.

Quick tip: Sharing your current location doesn’t require opening Maps. Touch and hold the Maps icon on the Home Screen and tap Send My Location.

  1. Open the Maps app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap a place on the map or a search result.
  3. Tap the Share button (at the top of the place card) and choose an option.

You can also touch and hold the place, then tap Share Location.
