You can adjust privacy settings on Apple TV 4K to decide which apps get access to your photos, Apple Home devices, or Bluetooth devices. Apps have to ask your permission before they track your activity across apps owned by other companies. After you grant or deny permission, you can change it later, or stop all apps from asking.

Control app tracking permissions on Apple TV 4K

Every app has to ask your permission before tracking your activity across other companies’ apps, whether it’s for advertising or to share your information with data brokers. You can change that permission later, after you grant or deny it to an app, and you can also stop all apps from requesting permission.

  1. Go to Settings on Apple TV 4K.
  2. Go to General > Privacy & Security > Tracking.

You can see a list of apps that requested permission to track you.

  3. Do any of the following:

    • Select an app on the list to turn permission on or off.
    • To stop all apps from asking permission to track you, set Allow Apps to Ask to Track to Off.

For more information about app tracking, select Learn More About Tracking.
