Pair two HomePod speakers of the same model in the same room, and you get left and right stereo channels for an immersive soundstage. It works with HomePod mini, HomePod (1st generation), or HomePod (2nd generation).

You can create a stereo pair when you set up HomePod in the same room as another HomePod, or later in the Home app. After that, you can view details about each speaker, switch the left and right channels, or unlink the pair.

Here’s how to create and manage a HomePod stereo pair.

Note: In a stereo pair, only one of the two HomePod speakers responds to Siri requests, plays alarms, and acts as a speakerphone.

  1. Start the Home app on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Tap a HomePod, then tap the Settings button.
