Does Google Home Work On iPads?

How To Connect Google Home To Your iPad
Unbox Your Google Home & Plug It In
Before you can connect your Google Home to your iPad, take it out of the box and plug it in. Your Google Home has to be connected to a power source in order to pair with your iPad.
Download "Google Home" In The App Store
Now that your Google Home is plugged in, open up the App Store on your iPad and search for the Google Home app. When you’ve found it, tap the Get button to the right of the app and use your passcode, Touch ID, or Face ID to confirm the installation of the app.
A small status circle will appear to the right of the app when the installation has begun. When the app has finished installing, tap Open to the right of the app, or find the app icon on your iPad’s Home screen.
Open The Google Home App And Follow The Guide
You’ve plugged in your Google Home and installed its corresponding app — now it’s time to set it up and connect it to your iPad! Before you start, make sure your iPad is running iPadOS 17.0 or later, has Bluetooth turned on, has Location Access and Local Network turned on for Google Home, and is connected to the same Wi-Fi network you want to use with your Google Home.
Open up the Google Home app and sign in with your Google Account. If you haven’t set up a home yet, tap Add and then Home to create one.
From the Home tab, tap Add, then tap Device, then tap Search for device. Choose the home you want to add your device to and tap Next. Your iPad will begin to look for nearby Google devices.
Once the app finds your Google Home, follow the in-app steps to pair it. Choose the Wi-Fi network you want to use with your Google Home and enter the password when prompted.
Now that your Google Home is connected to Wi-Fi, it’s time to customize your Google Assistant. You can opt in to features like Voice Match, which teaches your Google Home to recognize your unique voice, and Personal results, which lets your Assistant share personal information.
Heads up: in select countries, Google is rolling out a new Gemini for Home voice assistant that can replace Google Assistant through an opt-in early access program. If it’s available in your region, you’ll see an invitation in the Google Home app to switch.
If you turn on Voice Match, read the on-screen prompts aloud to teach your Assistant your voice. Once Voice Match is complete, follow the in-app steps to continue.
After that, you’ll be prompted to set up additional features on your Google Home, including Photo Frame, music streaming services, and calling.
Finally, your Google Home may install a new update if one is available — this will take only a few minutes. Once the update is complete, your Google Home will be connected to your iPad and you’ll be able to start controlling your home with your voice!
