iPhone 18 Pro Not Connecting to Car Bluetooth? Fix

Can’t connect your iPhone 18 Pro or iPhone 18 Pro Max with your car stereo via Bluetooth?

Several users have stated that they are unable to connect with the iPhone 18 Pro from Bluetooth car audio systems.

Reported problems:

iPhone would connect for phone calls but not for music
Can’t pair your iPhone with your car
Can’t use handsfree functions
Bluetooth is not working as expected
Other issues

Here is what to do when iPhone 18 Pro won’t connect to car Bluetooth

Please try these tips if you are unable to connect or pair:

On your iPhone, make sure that Bluetooth is on (Settings > Bluetooth)
Go to Settings > Bluetooth, and turn off Bluetooth. Wait for about 5 seconds, then turn Bluetooth back on.
Restart your iPhone. Press and hold either volume button and the side button until the power-off slider appears. Drag the slider, then wait 30 seconds for your iPhone to turn off. To turn your iPhone back on, press and hold the side button (on the right side of your iPhone) until you see the Apple logo.
Restart your car’s audio system
Check the manual that came with your car for more information on how to pair with a Bluetooth device. Most cars require a phone setup on the car display.
Update your iPhone. Go to Settings > General > Software Update. And if there is an update, update your iPhone.
Remove your car’s old Bluetooth connection from your iPhone and then rediscover it. Go to Settings, then tap Bluetooth. Tap the info (i) button next to your car, then tap Forget This Device. Tap Forget Device to confirm. Then try to re-connect.
If you’ve connected multiple phones to your car stereo, try renaming your iPhone: Go to Settings > General > About > Name, and type a new name. Then try connecting again.
Make sure that your stereo is using the latest firmware from the car manufacturer.
Try using another iOS device (like your iPad). If you can connect this new device successfully, this means that the problem is with your iPhone, so keep reading. If you cannot pair this device also, that means the problem is with your car’s stereo.
Reset Network Settings by going to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Note that this will reset all your network settings, like your Wi-Fi passwords will be removed.
If nothing helps, contact Apple. You may also want to contact the maker of your car stereo.
