A lot of iPhone users use Safari to browse the web. Safari users may occasionally experience various issues. If you find that Safari is not opening web sites, tips below may help you fix this problem.
Safari cannot open a page
Please try each step one at a time until you resolve your issue.
1. Make sure that the iOS software on your iPhone 18 Pro is up to date. You can check for updates by going to Settings > General and Software Update.
2. You might have a bad Internet connection. Try a different Wi-Fi connection. You may also try to enable Airplane Mode for about a minute before disabling it to see if there is a difference.
You may also try resetting your network settings by going to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Please note that doing so will erase your network settings such as your Wi-Fi passwords etc.
3. Delete your history, cookies, and cache in Safari. Here is how you can do that:
- Tap Settings > Apps > Safari > Clear History and Website Data, after doing this:
- Go to Settings > Apps > Safari > Advanced > Website Data > Remove All Website Data
4. A lot of users are using VPNs and proxy servers for various reasons. Are you using a proxy or a VPN? Try disabling them to see if this makes a difference. If disabling does not solve your problem, you can re-enable them.
5. Quit Safari and restart again. Here is how:
- Go to the Home screen, and swipe up and pause about halfway. This will open the app switcher. You will see all of your open apps. Swipe left or right until you find the Safari icon. Then swipe up on the app to close it. Then re-open Safari and try again.
6. Restart your iPhone 18 Pro. Here is how:
- Simultaneously press and hold the side button and either volume button until the sliders appear, then drag the Power Off slider.
7. Force restart your iPhone 18 Pro. This is also called a hard reset. Do not worry this is not restoring your phone to its factory settings. Doing this will not erase your settings or content. Here is how:
- Press and quickly release the volume up button. Press and quickly release the volume down button. Press and hold the side button. When the Apple logo appears, release the side button.
