You want to buy something (a new iPhone?) and your credit card limit is not enough to buy it? Your Apple Card limit is the maximum amount that you can spend using your card before you need to pay off some of your balance. You may want to increase your limit for various reasons. For example, increasing your credit limit could improve your buying power and your credit score. This short article explains how you can increase your Apple Card credit limit:
Increase Apple Card limit:
On your iPhone:
- Launch the Wallet app and tap Apple Card.
- Tap the More button, then tap Account Details.
- From the top of the screen, tap the Message button.
- Type a message requesting a credit limit increase, then tap the Send button.
A request for a specific increase amount is not considered.
On your iPad:
- Launch the Settings app.
- Scroll down and tap Wallet & Apple Pay.
- Tap Apple Card, then tap the Info tab.
- Tap the Message button.
- Type a message requesting a credit limit increase, then tap the Send button.
A request for a specific increase amount is not considered.
There is no guarantee that your limit will be increased. But the worst they can say is no.
If your request is declined
- If your credit limit increase request was declined, Goldman Sachs will email you at the address associated with your Apple Card. The message will explain why your request wasn’t approved.
- Address the issues Goldman Sachs provided in the email notifying you that your request was declined.
- You can make another request for a credit limit increase at any time, but some customers improve their chances of being approved when they wait at least 6 months.
Tips to improve your chances of getting a credit limit increase
To increase your chances, you may try the following:
- Pay your Apple Card balance on time every month.
- Pay more than the minimum amount due.
- If your card is pretty new, then, probably, your request will not be approved. Use your card for 6 or more months before you request a credit limit increase. Waiting at least 6 months will help Goldman Sachs Bank USA have enough information to evaluate your account.
