Basic iPad Find My troubleshooting steps
You should first try these steps:
- First off, if you have access to the iPad that’s not showing up in Find My, check to see if it’s logged into the proper iCloud account. ! Tap Settings and then your Apple ID card. Check to see if the email is the same as the one you’re attempting to use in Find My.
- Ensure that Find My iPad is enabled on your iPad. Here is how you can check:
- open Settings > your name.
- Tap Find My.
- Check to see if Find My iPad is enabled. If not, turn it on.
- Make sure that your iPad is running the latest version of iPadOS. You need to go to Settings > General > Software Update to do this.
- Restart your iPad.
- Turn on Airplane Mode on your iPad, wait 30 seconds, then turn it off.

Turn off Find My and iPad

- Scroll down to the bottom and tap on Sign Out.
- You will be prompted to enter your Apple ID password to turn off Find My. Tap Turn Off.
- Tap on Sign Out.
To sign back in to iCloud
To sign back in, open Settings and tap on Sign in to your iPad and enter your Apple ID and password.
Now, in Settings > [your name], tap on Find My and make sure Find My iPad is turned on.
Now, check to see if you see your iPad in Find My.
